Photobooth to Ignite Wellington

February 26th, 2010 by Aneta

As something a little different from our usual run of weddings, we’re providing photographic entertainment at a very special event being held next Tuesday in Wellington.

Ignite Wellington is being run on Tuesday 2 March at the Paramount Theatre. Ignite is a series of 5 minute talks covering a vast array of topics and ideas. Currently such luminaries as Dave ten Have, Lance Wiggs, Dave Moskovitz and Julia Holderness (Marketing Co-ordinator of the City Gallery Wellington) will be inspiring and entertaining you with their 20 slides all within in the space of 5 mins each… that’s Ignite!

Still no idea what this is? Follow the link and checkout the website: Ignite Wellington – what is that?

Did I mention it’s completely free?  Register online and we’ll see you there!

Peti, Tane and the Photobooth

February 23rd, 2010 by Jason

We don’t post every Photobooth event, but this one was particularly good fun. Peti & Tane were married recently at Soi Cafe in Wellington, and the WE DO Photobooth was setup in the foyer for a few hours whilst guests were mingling and professional photos were being taken in the beautiful afternoon sun. Good times!

How’s this for romance and a little bit of cheese for your wedding day?

Love blossomed between a couple who met at an Apple Store. With a love of “all things clickwheel”, why not have your ceremony in the Apple Store itself, assisted by a Steve Jobs lookalike and reading your vows off an iPhone. As Josh said himself, “… the Apple Store is my church…”:

Hey, we use a Mac here at WE DO Photography & Design, but we balance that out with a PC as well. This sure is some Apple love!

Sarah & Kevin

February 18th, 2010 by Jason

Sarah and Kevin were married on a beautiful sunny Wellington day – what seemed like ‘the start’ of summer for most Wellingtonian’s (every Saturday leading up to this particular weekend had been horrible!).

Under the beautiful warmth of the midday sun, Sarah and Kevin met at the Botanic Gardens for their first viewing. I love this new tradition – the first viewing has something special, without the pressure of the ceremony on both shoulders.

Obviously the formal photoshoot was also had at this time, so we ran amok through the gardens for suitable images. We had plenty of fun finding bridges, steps, pagodas and trees to stand on, under and alongside for some fun snaps.

Moving to Sacred Heart Cathedral in Thorndon, the ceremony was short and sweet! A few beautiful readings and the exchange of vows and rings, then Sarah and Kevin had the rest of the evening to spend with their guests at a funky little cafe nestled beside the rose garden of the Botanic Gardens, aptly title Picnic.

As the sun set over the gardens, the guests moved inside, topped up their glasses and were entertained by some masterful speakers. The floor was cleared, the bride and groom danced to their favourite track, and then the party really kicked in!
